Rob Wittman enters his 21st year as Intramural & Recreational Programs and Facilities Coordinator at Behrend. He is responsible for leading, organizing and evaluating all aspects of the intramural, fitness and club sport programs, while managing the multi-purpose Junker Center.

Wittman hires and supervises over 75 student employees working for the intramural office. He is event manager for home varsity contests in the Junker Center as well as special events including concerts, competitions, karate championships and local basketball tournaments. Alongside the coordination of intramural programs, Wittman is currently a kinesiology instructor and also spent nine years as an assistant women’s basketball coach for the Lions.  

In the most recent years, Wittman has aided in the process of developing the new athletics Web site for Behrend as well as developing and maintaining the entire recreation and facilities Web site for intramural and recreation programs.

Wittman earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science with a minor in business and liberal arts from Penn State University in 1987. He went on to obtain his master’s degree in exercise and sport science with a sports administration concentration from Penn State in 1993.

He currently resides in Erie with his wife and two daughters.
