Construction has begun on two seperate athletic complexes on campus - an eight-lane NCAA track and a soccer/lacrosse field. Both facilities are expected to be completed in early fall of 2012 at a combined cost of $3.9 million.

The track & field facility (picture to the left) will be located at the Behrend Fields, on the northern end of campus. The facility will include competition-level track and seperate areas for field events.

Future plans include lighting, bathrooms, bleachers, storage facility and locker rooms.

The new soccer/lacrosse complex is being built just east of the Junker Center in a bowl configuration. Spectators will look down on athe field, which will have artificial turf. This field is designed to be multi-purpose.

The second phase of the project has been approved which includes locker rooms, additional seating, bathrooms and a press box.
