Shortstop Josh Fyffe Named AMCC Baseball Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend senior shortstop Josh Fyffe was named the AMCC baseball player of the week after leading the blue and white to a pair of wins to begin the 2010 season in Fort Pierce, Florida.

On Sunday, March 7, Fyffe guided Behrend to a 10-6 win over Elizabethtown, an NCAA Regional participant last season. Fyffe tripled, drew a pair of walks and drove home two runs. In Monday's game, he hit for the cycle going five-for-six with four RBI against Ursinus. Fyffe crushed the triple with the scored tied at six in the top of the ninth inning. Behrend went on to score five runs that inning in the 11-6 win.

Next up for the Behrend Lions will be another match-up against Elizabethtown on Tuesday, March 9, at 12:30 p.m.
