Penn State Behrend Shoots a 315 to Win La Roche Invitational
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team looked to play well as they head into the AMCC championships. The blue and white did just that, the Behrend Lions beat out the AMCC filled tournament to take the top spot with an overall team score of 315.
The Behrend Lions were led by A.J. Weismiller (Erie/Harborcreek) who shot a 76. Along with Weismiller, Pat Petraglia (Pittsburgh/Chartiers Valley) and Joe Nelson (Warren/Warren) both shot 78 and 79 respectively to pace the field. The Behrend Lions beat second place Penn State Altoona by three strokes.
Behrend will look to take this victory into the AMCC championships on October 4th and 5th beginning at 12:00 p.m. The Behrend Lions last won the AMCC title in 2004. The blue and white have the opportunity to make it their second AMCC championship.
