Conley Named AMCC Player of the Week
Senior center Russ Conley has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
ERIE, Pa. – Senior center Russ Conley (Transfer, PA/Reynolds) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
Conley led the Lions (20-8) to three AMCC Tournament victories last week, including the Conference Championship. On the week, he averaged 19.3 points and seven rebounds per game. Conley was extremely efficient on the offensive end, shooting 63.2 percent from the floor and 72.7 percent from the line.
On Friday, Conley netted 21 points against La Roche in the semifinals to become the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,756 career points. He is also Behrend’s career leader in field goals made with 669.
The Lions earned the AMCC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Wooster on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
