Bio
Nick Thorsen enters his third season on the Behrend men's basketball staff as an assistant coach.
Thorsen was a two-year starter and senior captain for the Behrend Lions. He averaged 4.5 points and 1.7 assists, leading Behrend to postseason play all four years. The Lions advanced to the ECAC Tournament three times, winning the South Championship in 2009-10. Behrend also returned to the NCAA Tournament during Thorsen’s junior year.
He capped his career by earning the Herb Lauffer Leadership/Scholarship Award presented to the senior athlete “for striving to make everyone around them better.”
Thorsen graduated with a bachelor's
degree in finance in the spring of 2012 and obtained his M.B.A. at
Behrend in May 2014.
