Penn State Behrend Athletics, the Erie Cheetahs and LECOM will be hosting Crystl Bustos, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, at the Junker Center on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1.

Greene, Griffin Represent USA Softball in Prague
Upcoming seniors Amy Greene and Morgan Griffin are two Penn State Behrend softball players who joined athletes from across the country to represent USA Athletes International (USAAI) at the Prague Joudrs Softball Tournament in Praque, Czech Republic from June 8-16.

Greene, Gruber Earn All-AMCC
Amy Greene and Ashley Gruber both earned spots on the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) softball team announced Thursday. Greene was named to the first team while Gruber landed on the third team. This is the first time both are receiving this honor.

2011 Softball Season Preview
The Penn State Behrend softball team is returning nine players from last year’s squad which finished 17-21 and 8-12 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play. This year, the Lions are young but have reason to believe they have what it takes to return to the AMCC championships which they last won in 2009.

Softball Team Visits Milestones Early Learning Center
On two occasions last week, the Penn State Behrend softball team volunteered their time at the Milestones Early Learning Center located on Buffalo Road. The team interacted with the kids and assisted with any other needs of the learning center.
