Bio
Bill Strub enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Behrend softball program. He brings over 33 years of coaching experience, after being an assistant coach at Gannon for every head coach in the history of the program. Strub took over head coaching responsibilities during the 1985 season, posting a 4-10 record. He led the Golden Knights to 12 GLIAC tournament appearances and four trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Strub, an Erie native, played in the Millcreek and City Fastpitch softball leagues for 36 years. He competed in the inaugural ISC II World Fastpitch Tournament in Kitchner, Ontario.
Strub resides in Millcreek. He has two sons, Alan and Jonathan.
