Wagner and Thill Earn ECAC All-Star Selections
Freshman Valerie Wagner (Pittsburgh/Montour) and junior Kelly Thill (Wexford/Pine Richland) were both named to the 2009 ECAC Women's Soccer All-Star teams. Wagner was named to the first team while Thill was selected to the second.

Behrend Lions Move Up in Latest NSCAA Great Lakes Regional Rankings
The Penn State Behrend women's soccer program moved up in the latest NSCAA Great Lakes Regional Rankings.
Behrend is now ranked seventh in the region. Atop the region is Denison (14-2-1), Otterbein (14-1-1), and Ohio Northern (12-3-2). They are followed by Centre, Allegheny, Wittenberg, Behrend, Wilmington, Thomas More, and Case Western Reserve.

Penn State Behrend Claims Four AMCC Athletes of the Week -- September 7, 2009
The Behrend Lions claimed four AMCC Player of the Week honors. The league office announces selections each Monday throughout the season.
Erin McCreary (Pittsburgh/Seton LaSalle) was selected as the women's soccer player of the week. Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski) was named the men's goalkeeper of the week.
For the men's golf team, senior Joe Nelson (Warren/Warren) led the Behrend Lions to the Pitt-Bradford Invitational title. Kevin Gorny (Erie/McDowell) Gorny led the race from start to finish at the Westminster Invitational, and outdistanced the the nearest collegiate competitor by over 21 seconds.

Behrend Women's Soccer Selected Third in 2009 AMCC Poll
Penn State Altoona has been selected by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference coaches to successfully defend their 2008 title this season. Frostburg State University, a five-time titlist, was chosen to finish second, and Penn State Behrend, which has worn the league crown six times, was ranked #3.
