Women's Soccer Earns ECAC Tournament Bid
The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team will be making its second straight and seventh overall appearance in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Tournament, earning the No. 3 seed.

will be making its second straight and seventh overall appearance
in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region
Tournament, earning the No. 3 seed.
The Lions (13-6-1) keep their season going against No. 6 Marywood Pacers (13-4-2) on Wednesday in the first round at 11 a.m. at the Behrend Fields, followed by the men’s ECAC game at 1:30 p.m. against No. 7 Bethany. The Lions earned the No. 1 seed on the men’s side.
Behrend fell short of an NCAA Tournament bid, dropping a 3-0 decision to Penn State Altoona in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships. Marywood is receiving the program’s first-ever bid to the ECAC Tournament. The Pacers were runners up in the CSAC playoffs, falling 6-5 in penalty kicks to Centenary.
In last year's ECAC Tournament, the Lions fell to Grove City 2-1 in the first round.
The winners of Wednesday's game will advance to Saturday's semifinal round at the highest remaining seed. The championship will be played on Sunday, November 14 at a time to be determined.
