Penn State Behrend Claims Three AMCC Players of the Week

The Behrend Lions claimed three AMCC Players of the Week honors.  The league office announces selections each Monday throughout the season.

Josh Weaver (Franklin/Franklin) was named the men's swimmer of the week.  Weaver was a double winner Friday night and a triple winner Saturday. His wins Saturday (100 and 200 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay) helped push the Lions ahead of Mount Union in a close contest. He anchored the final event of the meet to secure a new pool and team record in the 800 free relay 

Steve Graves (McMurray/Peters Twp.) was named men's diver of the week.  Graves placed second on both boards Friday night against Grove City and first on both boards Saturday vs. Mt. Union. His performances gained him two more NCAA qualifying scores with 279.55 on the 1 meter, and 287.15 on the 3 meter. 

Krystal Kovach (Scott Twp./Chartiers Valley) has also been named women's diver of the week for the blue and white.  Kovach finished off the dual meet season with 4 first place finishes and two more NCAA qualifying scores. On Friday night vs. Grove City she turned in her best 1m performance of the year with a 263.80.
