Wade Set For NCAA Diving Regionals
Penn State Behrend sophomore diver Meghan Wade will compete at the NCAA Division III Diving Northeast/South Division Regionals beginning Friday hosted by Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend sophomore diver Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) will compete at the NCAA Division III Diving Northeast/South Division Regionals beginning Friday hosted by Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
Wade will compete in the 3m diving on Friday and the 1m diving on Saturday. The top 4-6 divers from the regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships. Wade is one of 15 divers that will be competing at Ithaca this weekend. This season marks the first time the NCAA will host regionals in order to qualify for the Division III Championships.
Wade is the program's second female diver to qualify for the DIII Championships. She repeated as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Diver of the Year for winning both the 1m and 3m diving competitions at the conference championships. Wade also set the school record in both one meter with a score of 456.25 and three meter for 11 dives with a 491.80 total.
