Katie Monoskey Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week

Katie Monoskey (Punxsutawney/Punxsutawney) has been named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week for the week of May 3, 2010.

Monoskey and the rest of the Behrend Lions track and field teams competed at the 2010 Mason Dixon Track & Field Championships over the weekend held at Salisbury University.  Monoskey would contribute to her team's success in several areas and racked up quality points for her squad.  The sophomore would take a seventh place finish in the shot put recording a mark of 10.13m.  She took a ninth place finish in the javelin throw and a third in the hammer throw which produced six points for her team.  Monoskey really excelled in the discus throw recording a mark of 35.82m on her way to a second place finish and eight points.  She would end the day with 14 out of the 65 total points that her team earned at the Championships on their way to a fourth place finish.  

The Behrend Lions women's track and field team finished with 65 total points at the Mason Dixon Championships which earned them a fourth place finish.  Christopher Newport would be the top point scorer with 232 points earning their first place victory.

The Penn State Behrend Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week is selected by the Penn State Behrend Sports Information Athletic Staff.
