Penn State Behrend Lions Crowned Presidents Cup Champions
Penn State Behrend Athletics has captured the 2025-26 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Presidents Cup.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics has captured the 2025-26 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Presidents Cup, recognizing the Lions as the conference's top overall athletic program for the academic year. The honor reflects a year of sustained excellence across Behrend's varsity sports programs, highlighted by multiple conference championships and strong finishes throughout the league standings.
The Lions have earned the Presidents Cup 23 of the 24 years the award has existed. Behrend won five conference championships in the fall, two in the winter and three in the spring. The Lions accumulated 98 points out of a possible 105 in the 15 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .933 winning percentage.
The Lions were champions in 10 sports: women's cross country, men's cross country, women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's tennis, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball and men's tennis. Behrend finished runner up in men's soccer, men's volleyball and wrestling.
Alfred State was the runner up with a .637 winning percentage (53.5 points out of a possible 84) in part to winning the women's lacrosse championship. Penn State Altoona, who accumulated a .621 percentage, finished in third place.
