Krystal Kovach (ScottTwp./Chartiers Valley) has been named women's diver of the week for the blue and white. Kovach came away from the Baldwin Wallace/St. Vincent competition with a second on the 1meter board then blew it away with a pool and school record. She also came away with her first NCAA qualifying performance of the season on the 3m., scoring a 294.3
Hunter Backenstose (Downingtown/Downingtown East) has been named the men's swimmer of the week for the Behrend Lions. Backenstose reacked up four individual first place finishes over the tow days of meets. He out touched two Buffalo State men to win the 50 free in 22.97 then came back to win the 100 free with a time of 50.08 in a one-tow finish for Behrend. He was also part of the winning 400 free relay. The freshaman finished off the weekend teaming up for a second in the 200 free relay.
Stephen Graves (McMurray/Peters Twp.) has been named men's diver of the week. Graves brought in some big points for the blue and white this weekend. Against Baldwin Wallace and St. Vincent, he broke his own 3m team record with a score of 258.90 while placing second. He also placed second on both boards against Buffalo State.
