Clay Altemose (Apollo/Apollo-Ridge) was named the men's swimmer of the week. Graves was the AMCC champion on both the 1m and 3m, and placed second in the Grove City Invitational on both boards. His 3m score broke his own conference record.
Steve Graves (McMurray/Peters Twp.) was named men's diver of the week. Altemose set two individual team records and three relay team records this weekend at the AMCC championship on his way to the high point award. His times also set AMCC conference records as well as qualified him for ECAC championships
Krystal Kovach (Scott Twp./Chartiers Valley) has also been named women's diver of the week for the blue and white. Kovach had two stellar performances at the AMCC championship at Grove City, setting a meet and pool record in preliminaries on the 1m with a 432.90. She then just missed the pool record by .85 with her win on the 3m. The junior was the AMCC champion on both boards and was named women's diver of the Grove City Invitational. All of her scores qualifed her for the NCAA Div. III championship next month.
Anne Lawrence (State College/State College) was named the women's swimmer of the week. Lawrence won all three individual events she swam at the AMCC championship as well as each of the four relays she took part in. She set four team records--100 Fly, 200 IM, 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay--which were also conference records along with the 400 free relay.
The Penn State Behrend swimming and diving teams captured their fourth straight AMCC title over the weekend in dominating fashion. Both squads amassed their highest point totals ever with the women accumulating 336 points and the men totaled 385.
