Bilka Set to Compete at NCAA Championships
Sophomore Dylan Bilka will be representing the Penn State Behrend men’s track & field team at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore Dylan Bilka (Seven Fields, PA/Seneca Valley) will be representing the Penn State Behrend men's track & field team at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Bilka qualified in the pole vault and enters tomorrow's event with the third best height in Division III with a school-record mark of 16-6 ¾ (5.05m). He is one out of 20 competitors in the pole vault, which takes place beginning at 6:10 p.m. on Thursday.
Bilka is one of two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) athletes competing at the NCAA Championships. William Jones from Franciscan is the top seed for the 10,000m run.
The sophomore was recently named the Field Athlete of the Year for the Mideast Region and is coming off his second ECAC title this season in the pole vault.
