AMCC Announces Team Peak Performers
On Wednesday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced the 2022-23 Team Peak Performers in celebration of DIII Week. The award is given to each team within the conference holding the highest grade-point average (GPA) in their respective sport.
ERIE, Pa. – On Wednesday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced the 2022-23 Team Peak Performers in celebration of DIII Week. The award is given to each team within the conference holding the highest grade-point average (GPA) in their respective sport.
Men's basketball, women's basketball, women's soccer, women's tennis, women's swimming and diving and wrestling have all been named AMCC Team Peak Performers. Between the six teams, they combined for a GPA of 3.39.
Men's hoops and women's swimming and diving both claimed the top academic spot last year as well, making it three years in a row as peak performers. This year, women's tennis carried a cumulative GPA of 3.61 while women's swimming and diving had a 3.58.
Women's basketball joins the aforementioned, earning the team accolade with a GPA of 3.52 while women's soccer tallied a 3.479 GPA, followed by men's basketball at 3.38. The Lions also earned the inaugural team peak performer award for men's wrestling with a 2.82 GPA.
