Three Named AMCC Athlete of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's soccer defender Brock Kiefer, men's cross country runner Ethan Vaughan and women's soccer forward Bri Ross were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Kiefer led the Lions defensively in a 2-0 week in conference play. He helped Behrend on Wednesday in a 6-2 victory over Pitt-Bradford with a goal and an assist. He also aided in the shutout against La Roche by only allowing one shot on goal by the Redhawks. Kiefer also tallied an assist from the back in the 3-0 victory. 

This is the second honor for Vaughan this season. The freshman paced the Lions with his fastest time of the season. Vaughan clocked in at 26:39.5 to finish 47th overall at the Oberlin Regional Rumble on Saturday.

Ross registered three goals and one assist for seven points in a 2-0 week for women's soccer. She tallied her second hat trick of the season against Pitt-Bradford, netting the game winner and then added an assist in a victory over La Roche on Saturday.
