Sciscio, Nicely Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball catcher Thomas Nicely and men's volleyball middle hitter Joseph Sciscio were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

In the opening weekend for the Lions, Nicely drove in seven runs on five hits over three games. He smacked three doubles, including two in the win over Albion. That same game, he produced five RBIs. In the win over Hiram, Nicely went 2-for-4 with another double.

Sciscio is earning Defensive Athlete of the Week for a third time this season. He tallied 15 total blocks in just six sets played in a 3-0 week for the Lions. He posted three blocks vs. Carlow and Bethany, before recording a season-best nine blocks (four solo, five assist) in the win over Grove City. He also added 12 kills and hit .476 for the week.
