Behrend Baseball Earns ABCA Academic Excellence Award
The Penn State Behrend baseball team has been awarded the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 10th consecutive season.

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team has been awarded the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 10th consecutive season. The Lions were one of 196 Division III teams to be recognized for their efforts off the field, presented by Sports Attack.
To earn the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, a team's head coach must be a member of the ABCA while posting a team grade-point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the cumulative 2025-26 academic year.
The Lions placed 21 student-athletes on the Academic All-AMCC list with six members of the team earning Peak Performer honors for recording a GPA above 3.2 for the school year.
