Men's Basketball Heads to Hilbert on Wednesday in AMCC Action

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team travels to Hamburg, NY to face Hilbert in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) game on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.

* The Lions eclipsed the 100 points for the first time since 2011 with a 101-59 victory over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday
* Senior forward Justin Gorny (South Park, PA/South Park) needs 25 points to become the second player this season to hit the 1,000 career point milestone
* Behrend dished out a season-high 30 assists vs. the Panthers led by Andy Niland's (Fairview, PA/Fairview) eight helpers
* Niland leads the AMCC with 7.2 assists per game while average 34 minutes a game
* The Lions shot a season-high 58.6 percent from three-point range and 60.6 percent from the field on Saturday
* Senior guard Mike Fischer (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) is second in the AMCC in field-goal percentage (61.9) and is fourth in three-point percentage (57.1)

* The Hawks are 4-4 overall this season and 0-2 in conference play
* Hilbert is coming off a 93-71 win over Houghton on Monday night
* The Hawks two conference losses were to D'Youville (97-88) and Pitt-Greensburg (70-65)
* Junior guard Masia Philips paces Hilbert with 16.1 points per game

Series History

* Behrend holds a 32-9 record against the Hawks dating back to the 1992-93 season
* Last season, Behrend defeated Pitt-Bradford 77-64 in the first meeting on the road, before falling 69-54 at home on Feb. 14
