Late Surge Lifts Behrend Past D'Youville

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team completed the season sweep over D'Youville, earning a 72-64 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victory on Wednesday night.

* The Lions used a 10-3 run in the final 2:27 of the game to pull away from the Spartans
* Derrick Clark (Erie, PA/Central Tech) ignited the run with his only triple of the game to put Behrend ahead for good at 62-61
* D'Youville threatened and got within one again, but Mitchell King (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) drained a trey to stay ahead

* Fukon led with 19 points and a game-high 17 rebounds, while Gourley tallied 12 points and 12 rebounds
* Devin Pope (Ripley, NY/Chautauqua Lake) posted his first collegiate double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds
