Men's Basketball Enters Postseason on Five-Game Winning Streak; Lions Defeat Mt. Aloysius

Cresson, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team concluded regular-season play with a 60-57 win over Mt. Aloysius Saturday afternoon. The Lions swept the two regular season games, having bested the Mounties 60-54 January 10 at the Junker Center.

Key Moments:

* With the Lions already having clinched the AMCC regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the postseason tournament, Behrend rested its usual starters for all but the first five minutes of the game
* Jacob Dunkle, Matthew McDonough, Mason Blankenberg, Shawn Mason, and Nate Edwards provided energy from the sidelines for the final 35 minutes
* Blankenburg scored the quintet's five points
* Although Mt. Aloysius led for 17:27 of the first half, Behrend used a late 15-6 run to take a 28-25 lead into the break
* Drew Hind led the Lions with eight at intermission while the Mounties Semaje Howard led everyone with 11
* Behrend had a 23-2 advantage in bench points in the first half and 55-4 total
* Eight reserves scored, led by Hind with 13 and Jake Ziegler with 10
* Behrend had a 29-23 advantage in rebounds for the contest
* The Lions will enter the postseason tournament on a five-game winning
* The last time Behrend hosted the AMCC Tournament was in the 2021-22 season
