Men's Soccer Releases 2016 Schedule
The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team announced their schedule for the upcoming 2016 season.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team announced their schedule for the upcoming 2016 season.
The Lions will open the regular season on Friday, September 2 by hosting the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament. Hiram, Houghton and Baldwin Wallace will also compete in the tournament to kick off the season.
On Friday, September 9, the Lions will travel to New York City, New York to highlight their non-conference schedule. Behrend squares off against John Jay College and the College of Staten Island, who are members of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC).
Aside from their opening tournament, the Lions also return to play eight more home games, four of which will be Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) contests. They also travel to Mt. Aloysius for an AMCC Championship rematch on October 1.
Behrend returns five starters who helped lead the team to a 17-2-3 season to becaome runners-up in the AMCC and ECAC tournaments.
