GROVE CITY, Pa - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team fell to Grove City Tuesday afternoon, 3-0.
The Wolverines (3-0) jumped out to an early lead against the Lions (1-1-1) when Jon Burton put a header in off Frank Hueber's free kick at the 2:34 mark.
After a string of passes from Grove City, Christian Caporaso found the top right corner to put the Wolverines up 2-0. Dale Reese and Trent Strick were awarded the assists on the goal.
With a little under ten minutes remaining in the match, Franklin Tropiano found the back of the net to put the game out of reach. Nate Curry delivered a cross to Stephen Betteridge, who gave a touch pass to Tropiano.
Behrend will look to get back on the winning track when they travel to John Jay this Friday, September 9th. Game is slatted to start at 4 p.m.
