Men's Soccer Moves to 10th in USC Top 25 Poll

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team, the lone Division III team untied and undefeated,  moved up two spots into 10^th in the latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll, announced on Tuesday.

This is the first time in program history the Lions (11-0) have been in the Top 10. Behrend remains second in the region behind Kenyon, who is ninth nationally this week.

Last week, Behrend went 2-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action. The Lions defeated D'Youville 4-0 for their sixth shutout of the season, before earning a 3-1 victory against Franciscan on Saturday.

Senior Nick Kisiel (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) tallied two goals and one assist on the week. Senior Nick Schwarzel (South Park, PA/South Park) was named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week for scoring the eventual game-winning goal on a penalty kick vs. the Barons. Richard Blanchard (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) ranks 12^th in the NCAA Division III statistics in total assists (7).
