Behrend Soccer Recognized for Academic Success
The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.

ERIE, Pa. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
A total of 797 soccer teams (298 men, 499 women) posted a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Of that total, 149 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized including the Behrend Lions.
The women's team boasted a GPA of 3.48 and the men tallied a 3.21 GPA last year. Both teams will kick off the season hosting the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament, beginning on Friday, September 2.
