ERIE, Pa. – The No. 4 Mt. Aloysius men's soccer team upset No. 1 Penn State Behrend 1-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.

Noteworthy:
* The Mounties scored in the first five minutes of the game and held on to advance to the AMCC Championship game
* Braden Callahan managed to get Mt. Aloysius on the scoreboard at the 5:14 mark of the first half
* Daniel Irujo sent a ball into the box and Callahan's shot was partially saved by Anthony Scalise but the ball managed to get over the goal line for a 1-0 lead
* Mason Le had the best opportunity for the Lions in the second half
* With 16:30 remaining in the game, Le had a one-on-one opportunity and Sam Denchfield's kick save stopped Behrend from getting the equalizer
* The Mounties and Lions took four shots each in the first half, while Behrend held a 6-4 advantage in the second half
* Scalise tallied three saves and Andy Jones made a team save to keep Mt. Aloysius off the board in the second half
* Denchfield also posted two saves in 90 minutes of work
