Men's Swimming and Diving Takes Down Alfred State and Wheeling; Perham Breaks Pool Record

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team competed in its final home dual meets of the season, defeating Alfred State and Wheeling on Saturday afternoon in the Junker Center.

Key Moments:
* Junior Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) set a new pool record in the 100 breaststroke
* Perham came in first place with a record time of 56.74, breaking a six-year old mark set by Chase Bietz (57.11)
* Perham also won the 200 IM for his second individual victory, touching in 2:05.71
* Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area), Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) also won two events
* Fowkes claimed the 100 backstroke (54.27) and the 200 backstroke (2:02.33), while Compton swam the 1000 freestyle in 10:18.26 before winning the 200 butterfly (2:00.69)
* Tumino was the winner in the 200 freestyle (1:49.01) and the 50 free (21.76)
* Perham, Fowkes, Compton and Isaac Stoeckle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) made up the winning 200 medley relay team
* The foursome touched in 1:38.57 for first place
* Ryan Okey (Erie, PA/McDowell) tallied the last individual win, swimming 55.81 in the 100 butterfly
* Stoeckle, Compton, Tumino and Ryan Willis (State College, PA/State College) collected the final points in the 200 freestyle relay
* The relay touched first in 1:28.24
* The Lions finish the regular season with an 8-1 dual-meet record

* Behrend returns to action on Wednesday, February 19 for the four-day SUNYAC-AMCC Championships held in the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College (ECC) in Buffalo, NY.
