ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team defeated Penn State Altoona 161-100 in the Lions first dual meet of the season on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* The Lions won eight events and were led by Isaac Stoeckle, who tallied two relay and two individual wins
* Stoeckle won the 100 backstroke in 52.54 and the 200 backstroke in 2:01.03, while teammate Glenn Fowkes was a close second in both events swimming 54.12 and 2:02.57, respectively, for second place
* Zachary Turner and Will Perham tallied three wins on the day
* Stoeckle, Turner, Perham and Ryan Okey made up the winning 400 medley relay with a first-place time of 3:38.21
* Turner went on to win the 50 free (22.18) and Perham was the individual winner in the breaststroke events
* Perham clocked in at 59.01 in the 100 breaststroke to lead a pack of Behrend swimmers finishing 1-2-3
* Perham tallied a time of season-best time of 2:11.92 to win the 200 breaststroke
* Stoeckle, Turner, Fowkes and Anthony Tumino were the winning foursome to finish the meet in the 400 free relay (3:18.63)
* Ryan Willis tallied the final individual victory of the day, touching first in the 200 IM in 2:08.59
