MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the first half of the season with a 129-70 dual-meet victory over Allegheny on Saturday afternoon.
Key Moments:
* The Lions had one relay victory and seven individual winners on the day to secure their fifth dual-meet win
* Nevin Rutherford, Evan Tritt, Nicolin Pierce and Michael Kail were the winners in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:45.52
* Isaac Stoeckle led a 1-2-3 finish in the 1000 freestyle with a winning time of 10:57.86
* Niklas Stoll Noriega took second and Jeremiah Tomacanin was third in the 1000 free
* In the 200 free, Glenn Fowkes and Jackson Currier battled for the top spot
* Fowkes won in 1:55.04 and Currier took second in 1:57.96
* One second separated Kali and Rutherford in the 50 backstroke
* Kail placed first overall in 26.33 to edge Rutherford in second in 27.38
* Anthony Tumino and Alex Koufos went 1-2 in the 50 breaststroke in 30.43 and 31.40, respectively
* Will Perham touched first in the 100 butterfly in 55.82 and Aaron DiFilippo was a close second in 57.52
* Kyle Malec swept both diving events, winning the 1m in 198.35 and the 3m in 195.25
* Rutherford closed out the meet with a win in the 100 backstroke (1:00.57)
