Stoeckle Selected to Compete at NCAA Championships
Penn State Behrend sophomore Isaac Stoeckle will make his first appearance at the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, from March 18-21.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Penn State Behrend sophomore Isaac Stoeckle will make his first appearance at the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, from March 18-21.
Stoeckle will be competing in three events, looking to garner his first All-America honors. The sophomore will swim in the 50 freestyle on Wednesday, March 18. Stoeckle enters the championships with a career-best time of 48.20 in the event and competes on Friday as the 17th seed. He will close out the week with the 100 freestyle on Saturday.
Stoeckle, the 2026 SUNYAC Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet, was the individual winner in the 50 free and set an NCAA 'B' cut time along with breaking the conference, meet and team record in the 100 backstroke (48.20). He was also a part of four winning relays, two of which set new team records.
Stoeckle is the fourth Behrend Lion in program history to earn an invitation to the NCAA Championships.
