ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's indoor track & field program opens the indoor season at the Houghton December Classic on Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m.

* The Lions open the 2019-20 season on Friday
* The Houghton Classic will be the lone match in 2019 with the team returning to action in January
* Behrend has 25 returners along with 15 new faces
* Head coach Greg Cooper begins his season 13th season at the helm of the track and field program
* Top returners for the Lions include junior Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) an NCAA Championship qualifier and All-American in the indoor high jump
* The Behrend team consists of five seniors, nine juniors, 11 sophomores, and 15 freshman
