Behrend Indoor Track & Field Records Fall at Kent State
Carter Tobin and Jake Egizio broke Penn State Behrend indoor track & field records while competing at the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational over the weekend.
KENT, Ohio – Carter Tobin and Jake Egizio broke Penn State Behrend indoor track & field records while competing at the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational over the weekend.
Key Moments:
* Tobin broke his own program record in the 200m dash and Egizio set the record in the 400m
* Tobin placed eighth overall with a new record time of 21.85 and he also took sixth in the 60m (6.86)
* Egizio ran a 49.60 in the 400m to place fifth overall and etch his name in the record books
* Egizio also took 15th overall in the 200m (22.23)
* Tobin, Egizio, Peyton Brewer and Jake Walden ran to a seventh-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:29.47
* Aidan Reinsel posted career bests in the mile and 3000m
* Reinsel finished 16th in the 3000m with a career-best time of 9:04.58 and also placed 19th in the mile (4:29.20)
* In the 5000m, Alex Haskins ran a career best with a time of 15:59.56 for seventh overall
* Lee Qualk led Behrend in the long jump, taking eighth (6.85m), while Alex Cotton registered a throw of 15.29m in the shot put for 11th overall
* In addition to the relay, Brewer posted a career best in the 3000m with a time of 9:23.55 for 19th place
