Behrend Men's Volleyball Announces 2026 Team Awards
The Penn State Behrend men’s volleyball program announced the team awards for the 2026 season.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball program announced the team awards for the 2026 season.
Joseph Sciscio was named Most Valuable Player, while Caleb Daubenspeck was tabbed Most Improved Player and earned the All-Sportsmanship Award. Rookie of the Year went to Mason Anderson and Lewis Rhodes earned the Leadership Award.
Sciscio, the program's first player to be named AVCA All-Region, was also named to the All- Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) First Team. The senior finished third among NCAA leaders in blocks per set (1.181) and was seventh in total blocks with 98. Sciscio led the team with a .432 attack percentage and was fourth with 150 kills.
Daubenspeck, a sophomore middle hitter, saw time in 21 matches this season. He contributed 19 digs, 13 kills, and 10 aces. Daubenspeck had a season best four kills and hit .500 in the win over Carlow. He was also voted for the All-Sportsmanship award by his teammates for displaying good sportsmanship throughout the season. Daubenspeck consistently demonstrated a high level of ethical conduct, respect and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor.
Anderson, a freshman libero and All-AMCC First Team selection, competed in 27 matches including 84 sets. He posted 87 digs to rank sixth on the team. Anderson also tallied 29 kills, five aces and three block assists. He registered a season-best seven kills vs. SUNY Poly, while registering a season-high 11 digs vs. St. John Fisher.
Rhodes, a senior middle hitter and captain, became the program's career leader in blocks this season. He was also named to the All-AMCC Second Team. Rhodes was 17th overall in blocks per set in the final NCAA Division III statistics (.989) and 18th in total blocks (91). He also added 109 kills and 11 service aces.
