ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team dropped a pair of matches on day two of the Navy Open. The Lions fell to the Division I hosts by score of 18-8 and then to Long Island University, 15-10.
Match One:
Score: Navy 18, Penn State Behrend 8
Records: Penn State Behrend (2-4), Navy (8-5)
Key Moments:
* Freshman Jack Johnson and sophomore Freddy Browarski both capitalized on penalty shots in the first half
* Freshman Rylan McDowell contributes on a breakaway in the last few seconds of the second quarter, making the score 8-3 at halftime
* Freshman Caden Currykosky added a goal to start the third quarter
* Seniors Eugene Kruger and Ryan Carpico each tallied two goals

* Long Island won its second straight match of the day by defeating the Lions
* Each team scored four goals in the first quarter to head into the second deadlocked
