The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on their final day over Spring Break. The Lions fell 11-8 to Bowdoin and came back to defeat Earlham 12-8 on Friday.

WINTER HAVEN, FL – The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on their final day over Spring Break. The Lions fell 11-8 to Bowdoin and came back to defeat Earlham 12-8 on Friday.
Game One: Bowdoin 11, Penn State Behrend 8
Records: Penn State Behrend (5-4), Bowdoin (5-0)
Key Moments:
* The Lions jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings
* Behrend scored five runs in the first inning behind four hits including a double by Alexia Brown
* Three more hits in the third produced two more runs
* Bowdoin went on an 11-1 run for the come-from-behind win
* The Polar Bears scattered 11 runs over the next five innings
* Bowdoin had a big five-run sixth inning to take the lead for good
* Abby Tingley threw the complete game, striking out four in the loss
Game Two: Penn State Behrend 12, Earlham 8

* Behrend scored in each of the first four innings to build a large early lead and hold off a late Earlham rally for a 12–8 victory.
* The Lions recorded 16 hits, including five extra-base hits
* Julia Jones led the offense, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs
* Chloe Nale finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored
* Meghan Swain added three hits, three runs scored, a double, and a triple
* Hannah Smith scored three runs and drove in one with a double
* Behrend broke the game open with four runs in the second inning and three more in the third to take an 8–0 lead
* The Lions added four runs in the fourth inning to extend the advantage to 12–3
* Claire Bodien earned the win in relief, tossing four innings and allowing three runs
* Earlham scored five late runs, including three in the seventh, but Behrend held on for the win
