Behrend Wrestling Places Fifth at RIT; Savitz Claims 165 Title

ROCHESTER, NY - The Penn State Behrend wrestling team competed at the RIT Invitational, placing 5th out of 14 teams behind five wrestlers placing including an individual champion in Mason Savitz.
Key Moments:
* At 165 lbs, Mason Savitz delivered a dominant championship run to claim first place. Savitz went 5–0 on the day, showcasing bonus-point prowess with one fall and two major decisions, controlling every match on his path to the title.
* At 125 lbs, Evan Whiteside battled through a loaded bracket to take third place. Whiteside racked up four pins to secure his spot on the podium.
* At 197 lbs, Abraham Keep finished third with an impressive 5–1 record. His day included a signature victory over a nationally-ranked opponent to place.
* At 157 lbs, Rudy Brown powered his way into the semifinals with three wins, ultimately placing sixth after medically forfeiting the remainder of the tournament.
* At 184 lbs, Louie DeJulia put together a 5–1 performance and looked poised for a high finish, but after hitting his match limit he was forced to settle for sixth place.
The Lions also received solid contributions from several wrestlers who went 2–2 on the day:
