Watters, Stoeckle Named SUNYAC Swimmers of the Week
Penn State Behrend swimmers Camryn Watters and Isaac Stoeckle were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Swimmers of the Week.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend swimmers Camryn Watters and Isaac Stoeckle were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Swimmers of the Week.
Watters swam on the winning 400 medley relay that set a new pool record with a time of 4:04.21 vs. Fredonia on Sunday. She also won the 200 free (2:03.92). Against Gannon on Saturday, she won the 100 backstroke (1:00.96) and was second in the 200 backstroke (2:14.02)
Stoeckle, earning the honor for a fourth time this season, was a part of seven broken records this weekend. Individually, he broke the pool and team record in the 50 back (22.75) in the lead-off position of the pool and team record-breaking 200 MR (1:31.41). He also set a new pool record in the 100 backstroke (49.53) and swam in the 200 free relay that set a new team record (1:24.20). The 200 free relay team broke the record again on Sunday against Fredonia (1:23.98). Stoeckle also swam on the winning 400 medley relay that broke the school record in 3:26.27.
The Lions return to action on Wednesday, February 18 at the SUNYAC Championships.
