Lions Finish ECACs Breaking More Records
The Penn State Behrend women’s track team finished the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships Saturday, placing 37th out of 50 scoring teams with seven points.
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend women's track team finished the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships Saturday, placing 37th out of 50 scoring teams with seven points.
Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) broke her own school record for the second day in a row. Friday she set a new record in the 60m at 7.76. Saturday she reset the 200m record she broke last weekend. She finished the 200m in fourth place with a time of 25.29.
She also placed seventh in the 60m finals with a time of 7.83 to earn All-ECAC honors and score all seven points for the women's team.
The 4x400m relay team of Allen, Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch), Rachel Pell (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) and Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) also broke the indoor school record. They broke the record they set two weeks ago by nearly two seconds. The team finished 15th in a time of 4:05.39.
The Lions will travel to the Coastal Carolina Invitational Friday and Saturday for their next competition.
