Women's Track & Field All-CSAC Honors

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's outdoor and track and field team won the Colonial States Athletic (CSAC) Championship on Sunday and a total of 14 women earned All-Conference honors by finishing in the top three of their respective events.

Senior Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) was named the CSAC Women's Track Athlete of the Year. Sargent took home gold in the 3,000m steeplechase event with a time of 11:35.41, winning by more than 15 seconds breaking the CSAC conference record. She also finished second in the 800m run and 1500m run along with fourth in the 100m hurdles. Sargent was also a member of the winning 4x100m relay team.

Senior Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) was named the CSAC Women's Field Athlete of the Year. Yenchik won four events at the CSAC Championships. She won the pole vault event with a height of 3.40m followed by a leap of 9.95m in the triple jump to take home the gold on day one. Yenchik also won the 100m dash on Sunday with a time of 12.87 followed with a win in the long jump. In the long jump, Yenchik had a record-breaking leap of 5.38m. Yenchik was also a member of both the winning 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay
