Behrend Volleyball Set For Marymount Invitational This Weekend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team will travel to Arlington, Virigina for the two-day Marymount Invitational on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

* The Lions improved to 3-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) with a 3-0 win over Medaille on Wednesday night
* Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) each a had double-digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively
* Alex Parra (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) hit .412 while Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) added 28 assists and a career-high eight aces
* As a team, Behrend is averaging 11.09 kills, 10.25 assists and 16.45 digs per set

* The hosts, Marymount, are 10-8 overall and enter the weekend on a two-match winning streak
* The Saints recently defeated Immaculata and Gwynedd-Mercy, 3-0
* DeSales is 7-10 entering the weekend after falling to Stevens 3-0 on Wednesday night
* The Bulldogs average 11.1 kills per set led by Morghan Shoemaker with 168 for the season
* Virginia Wesleyan is 15-4 overall this season, coming off 3-0 wins over Emory & Henry and Guilford
