The Behrend women’s volleyball team opened the 2023 season with a pair of wins at the Morrisville Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Lions defeated Widener 3-1 and Geneva 3-0 in non-conference action.

MORRISVILLE, NY – The Behrend women's volleyball team opened the 2023 season with a pair of wins at the Morrisville Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Lions defeated Widener 3-1 and Geneva 3-0 in non-conference action.
Match One:
Final Score: Behrend 3, Widener 1 (25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 27-25)
Records: Penn State Behrend (1-0), Widener (0-1)
Key Moments:
* Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) led with a double-double, knocking down 14 kills and adding 12 digs
* Breana Reynolds (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) had a career-high 13 kills, while Ava Miller (Sheffield Village, OH/Brookside) posted a career-high 13 digs
* Setter Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) dished out 30 assists on 43 kills
