Women's Volleyball Falls at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The John Carroll Blue Streak women's volleyball team managed a 3-0 win over Penn State Behrend in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

Final Score: John Carroll 3, Penn State Behrend 0 (26-24, 27-25, 25-17)

Key Moments:

* The first set showcased 15 ties, coming down to extra points only to favor the hosts
* Tied at 24-all, the Blue Streaks took advantage of an error and got a kill for the early lead
* Behrend darted out to a 6-1 lead in the second set behind the serving of Sailor Ladd
* Down the stretch, the two teams tied three times and lasted until 25-all and then John Carroll won the final two points similar to the first set
* The Blue Streaks took the momentum of the first two sets and had their largest lead at eight points before winning, 25-17
* Cadence Jones led with 11 kills and seven block assist
* Addica Sperry posted a team-high 11 digs and added nine kills
*  Setter Brynne Smith recorded 15 assist and Ladd added 12 assists
