Lions Travel to La Roche for AMCC Invitational
The Penn State Behrend women's cross country teams will travel to La Roche on Sunday for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Invitational.

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country teams will travel to La Roche on Sunday for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Invitational.

* The Lions will be competing for just the second time this season
* Behrend ran in the Mercyhust Invite back on March 13
* Jessie Johnson (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) placed 12th overall with a time of 23:29.4 while Izzy Spires (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) finished 15th (24:11.8)
* The runners to watch for the women's team are Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) and Johnson
* Carr is a two-time AMCC individual champion and a two-time NCAA qualifier
* Johnson will look to make an impact for the team, as Behrend's second runner
