Behrend, Mt. Union Play to 1-1 Draw

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team posted their second 1-all tie of the season, playing Mt. Union to a deadlock in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

Key Moments:

* The Purple Raiders scored early on a goal from Alex Depperschmidt
* Depperschmidt drilled a low ball into the right corner of the goal  off a pass from Don Kustura in the 17^th minute for a 1-0 lead
* Mason Le fired a low shot with 16:26 left in the first half, missing just left of the goal
* Mt. Union held a small 5-4 edge in shots in the first 45 minutes, but the Lions had the overall advantage, 15-12
* The Lion recorded three shots in a matter of seconds in the 67^th minute to try and find the equalizer
* Adam Thompson had his ball skim off the crossbar and then Owen Peterson had a shot blocked along with Mason Le
* Peterson scored his second goal of the season off a header in the 81^st minute to make it 1-all
* Daniel Battista got his third assist of the season on the pass to Peterson
* Mt. Union head coach David Krems was a former assistant for the Behrend men's soccer program
