Men's Volleyball Sweeps Geneva, Hiram in AMCC vs. PAC Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team earned a pair of wins on the second day of the AMCC vs. PAC Invitational held at the Junker Center on Saturday. The Lions swept Geneva and Hiram, 3-0.

Match One:
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Geneva 0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22)
Records: Penn State Behrend (3-3), Geneva (5-5)

Key Moments:

* Jack Wilcox led the Lions with 11 kills, knocking down a team-best six in the first set to give the Lions a 1-0 lead after a 25-19 win
* After 10 ties and three lead changes, Behrend edged the Golden Tornadoes by three to take a two-set lead
* Tied at 22-all, Wilcox got his second kill of the set off a Luke Mumpower assist and the Lions got the final two points off errors by Geneva for a 25-22 victory
* Behrend forced 10 attack errors by the Golden Tornadoes and took advantage of three service errors to win the final set 25-22
* Wilcox and Daniel Easly each had three kills, while Mumpower dished out 10 assists and had five digs
* Logan Unger finished with a team-best 10 digs
* Joseph Sciscio posted six blocks and four kills
* Easly registered eight kills, eight digs and three block assists

Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Hiram 0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-14)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-3), Hiram (2-2)

Key Moments:

* Behrend defeated Terriers for a second time this season
* Cameron Schleicher and Wilcox each collected 10 kills
* Schleicher posted the double-double with 10 digs
* Mumpower distributed 32 assists, including in 13 in a 25-19 second-set win
* Sciscio added seven kills, three block assists and two digs
* The Lions controlled the first and third set, taking the lead for good in the opening points
* After Hiram grabbed the lead four times in the second, Behrend used an 11-4 run to end the set
* The Lions hit .500 in the third set behind 18 kills to complete the sweep
