SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team was in midweek action at the John Papa Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock on Thursday.
Key Moments:
* Distance runners Bethany Litwiler (Reynolds, PA/Reynolds) and Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) earned top finishes on the track for the Lions
* Litwiler ran a personal best time of 12:22.87 for fourth in the 3000m steeplechase, while Hartle scored fourth in the 5000m with a time of 19:07.42
* Freshman Sam Abate (North East, PA/North East) finished seventh in the 3000m steeplechase (12:37.13)
* In the 400m hurdles, Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) delivered a personal best time of 1:10.36 for sixth place
* Jaade Duncan recorded a career best time of 12.59 for seventh in the 100m dash
* The 4x4 relay team of Laffan, McGowan, Rachel Skoczlas (Bridgeville, PA/Canon-McMillan), and Caroline McDevitt placed fifth with a season best time of 4:25.28
