GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team earned a pair of wins non-conference wins, defeating Bethany and Grove City by identical 3-0 decisions on Saturday afternoon.
Noteworthy:
* Head Coach Phil Pisano earned his 200th career win
* Senior middle hitter Lewis Rhodes tied the program record for career blocks (323)
Match One:
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Bethany 0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-12)
Records: Penn State Behrend (12-5), Bethany (1-11)
Key Moments:
* Fourteen different players registered a stat in the three-set match
* Jack Wilcox had eight kills on 10 attacks with no errors
* Joseph Sciscio added five kills and three block assists
* Luke Mumpower tallied 13 assists and six digs
* Tarendran Heyward dished out 12 assists, while Jack Steele hit. 833 (five kills) and recorded two aces and three blocks
* Behrend held the Bison to 15 kills and 14 digs
* The Lions hit a season-best .467 with 36 kills on 60 attempts and eight errors

Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Grove City 0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-23)

Key Moments:
* The Lions avenged a 3-0 loss to the Wolverines earlier in the season
* Rhodes registered three block assists to put him tied with Trenton Munk at 323 career blocks
* Sciscio made a season-best nine blocks, including four solo and five assists while also knocking down six kills
* Daniel Easly, Wilcox and Cameron Schleicher each added 10 kills
* Easly, Wilcox and Logan Unger tied with six digs each
* The Lions won the first set 25-19 and then went into extra points in the second
* Down 24-23, Schleicher tallied a kill to tied it at 24-all and then served out the final two points for the win
* Sciscio got a kill and a block to help the Lions capture the second set, 26-24
* Behrend had match point twice before clinching the sweep on an attack error at 25-23
